Default Making the Site more than just SoCal.

Cool. Well, here is what the ones produced in the past and present look like. Not sure what is left from the last batches: http://socalmazda.net/?tag=decals

As for the SCM Miata decal. We are also going to do other models as well, but just needed an actually picture of a MS3 or Mz3 or other cars to model after...will look into that soon.

As for ideas on making the stickers more diverse than just saying socalmazda.net...Let me hear some ideas.

Also ideas on making the site more than just a socal site would be awesome.

One idea I like is having other bloggers that can cover like Texas or the East coast on events or the fitment game on other mazdas around you guys.

Let me know what you guys think thanks.

Thanks to Shavi for directing me to this post. I have been on the site a few times and I think it would work well as a outpost for stanced Mazdas around the country. I, for one, would be willing to blog/shoot photos/video stanced Mazdas in my town. There aren't too many but they are out there. I would be proud to rock a SCM decal in my town!

Sweet SCM is pushing out of SoCal! I would like to see this forum grow, and it slowly is.

    This should be interesting...

So any ideas on the stickers you guys want for those outside of SoCal. Most of the SCM stickers say the url in the sticker: "socalmazda.net". Examples:

    or

I dont think we can change the name of the site since its sorta known? I tried looking to register scm.net or something...but that was taken in all forms.
So, unless you guys do not mind this format and just explain to people..iono

    What yall think yo?

i have no problems rocking the stickers as they are. Heck, I've rocked an In-N-Out sicker on the past three cars I've owned. I'm originally from SoCal!

As for suggestions, maybe on the next batch you can just create some that just say "SCM". Since we will be incorporating people from other states, the more "universal" you make it the better. And if anyone asks about it, I'll say that it's a Mazda-specific fitment blog originating from Southern California!

Let me know how to get 2 or 3. Oh, and if you can throw in a few free sticks from In-N-Out that would be great. I'm running low hahah!

I am still trying to contemplate any URL/website changes to make. I would like to keep the acronym SCM since it seems so easy to say and sounds good...Haha. So trying to think of new URLs to replace socalmazda.net. This would also mean that SCM will be called something else. I was thinking SCM can stand for Stance Camber Mazda like Hatchie said once before somewhere.

As for possible domain name: "scmazda.net is available" and "SCM.net is not available"
Getting a new domain name is super cheap and only costs like nothing to any of you.

I think scmazda.net is pretty cool to replace socalmazda.net what yall think?

This is going to be interesting seeing this evolve.

    scmazda.net is cool

    Possible names for SCM:
    Stance Cambered Mazda (Hatchie)
    So Cambered Mazda
Static Cling Mazda (Referencing how we ride static and how low to the ground we roll...almost clinging to the ground.)
    Static Coalition Mazda
    Static Coalition Movement (More Universal)
Static Coast Mazda (Coast referencing where the blog started)
    Sick Camber Mazda

Nice possibilities only one thing I have to say about it is that I know most of us are Static (on coilovers), but there are a few out there and I know one person personally that are eventually going Dynamic (on air suspension). So dont want the name to exclude them out.

A few possibilities some locals told me:
    Stance Community Mazdas
    Stance Camber Mazda

Ahh I see. I like Stance Community Mazdas.

    Another Idea:

SoClean Mazdas (Kinda like a play on SoCal)

I like SoClean Mazdas. I know we're limited since we're sticking with the acronym SCM, but SCM has already made a good rep at least out here in SoCal...

Plus it rolls off the tongue nicely

Well, scmazdas.net has been purchased and will be transitioning the information for the server soon. Just need to change the name now.

No since we know we want to keep the acronym SCM. And want a URL that does not say socalmazda.net and know that the name will keep mazdas in it. We purchased scmazdas.net. So just need to think what the letters stand for now.

    Re-route on the whole plan.
    New plan.

-Renewal of the SCM domain so we can redirect it to the new domain name
    -New domain name is Mazdafitment.com
-Change the forum and styling to fit Mazdafitment
-Transition the change from SCM to MF ( aka MFitment aka Mazdafitment)
-Find people willing to continue what we have been doing in SoCal in their own areas for fun; to start blogging and featuring the Mazda fitment game.

    Cool!

MazdaFitment -> MFitment -> MZFIT (kinda like misfit) -> MFIT

Perhaps "borrow" some styling cues from the BMW ///M Logos. Lots of good possibilities with this name.

i just read this whole thread, and i realized, i came here within the first few days of it becoming MF! hell yeah!

also, I would be willing to do some blogging from Edmonton and area, or even Canada (west) and photo's for MF. Assuming i am not the only stanced mazda this summer... there are a few others... but not many yet, working on it
