Thanks guys! Once I dial in the camber I should be able to drop it a bit. I would love to get an inch+ drop and tuck this setup, but I'll be happy with any wheel gap I can alleviate while still having somewhat even tire wear.

Want a spare TR Motorsport C3 in the same color and offset? Lol

I think I might go another direction with my wheel/tire setup and I only bought one for test fitting. I kept it for awhile though and mounted a tire on it so I'm doubting they'd take it back now.

    48. A 45 would also work in this size, but no higher than 48 without spacers or you'll be rubbing rim against the front control arms.

Thanks Danny!! I love how the car feels now! Incredibly smooth yet responsive. Don't notice any loss of power since switching to the heavier setup since I now haz grip.

looks great andrew, the front shot looks a hell of a lot more aggressive than the rear with the meaty tires.(I expected the opposite)

So.. I said fuck it and dumped the rear alignment last night so I could go moar lowers. Lowered another 1/2-3/4" all around. Yay no moar rear gap. Rear hasn't rubbed yet but the front does slightly on the fender liners on a big bumps but it looks damn good. Going to get the alignment checked out soon (hopefully today :crosses fingers and then I'll see about possibly pulling the fenders a bit more if needed.

OMG, my alignment was so fucked. All good now.

    Front
    -1.4° camber
    0.1° toe

    Rear
    -1.0° camber
    0.1° toe

    No moar rubz.

man, that's a cool pic lol. Now, excuse me for being a noob, but I have never had adjustable suspension on a car. I am installing my SPC rear camber arms this weekend and then going to get an alignment in the next week or two...when you take it to the shop, do they just try to make the rear camber as close to stock as possible, or do they adjust the camber to where the tire will not contact the fender? If so, how do they do it? My setup has a slight rub right now, and I am putting on spacers and my wheels back on this weekend along with the camber arms, and all I know for my alignment is I need to set the camber to where the tire will not contact my fender. I don't know the different degrees and such or even a spec on what to tell them, so how is all of this determined? Some info would be great.

It depends on the shop you go to and what type of alignment you're going for (if you want street or a show setup). Too much toe will kill your tires in a month so they adjust the toe first to make sure everything in in spec there. Then they adjust camber for even tire wear/stance. The more negative camber, the faster the inside of your tires will wear out, so under a degree of negative camber or less is usually best for wear, but can't always work with aggressive fitments. I went with the best setup for street that I could with this wheel setup @ -1.0° which is very streetable. If you're running stretched tires on an aggressive offset chances are you will need some negative camber to make the wheels fit. My setup is completely 'in spec' for my 6 (actually even less neg camber than oem) even though the settings might sound a little crazy (well, not crazy on mazdafitment, lol). If there If theres a reputable shop that that will let you hang out in the shop when they're aligning the car, they can explain to you what all these settings mean and what they do and help you get the best alignment for your application. We setup my car, then checked if I would have rubbing, and adjusted accordingly. Since you're doing camber arms and all that, make sure you get the alignment as soon as possible after installing or you'll probably cause some serious damage to your tires dd-ing with a fubared setup. Also, make sure you ride height is where you want as you won't want to touch it much after aligning. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Oh yeah man, thanks a lot for the info. That makes sense. It just so happens the guy that I am getting to align my car is a guy I grew up going to school with, so he should be cool with me standing there and discussing the setup with him. As for wheels, I am running 18x8 +30 with 225/40 nitto neo gens, so no stretching and these wheels are made for lower cars with the stiffer inner sidewall to help with uneven tire wear from negative camber. What you explained is about what I had imagined, but I didn't know for sure. I just want to get it setup, a little negative camber to make sure I don't rub, and then forget about it. I am replacing my rear shocks on my BC coilovers this weekend and everything, and will be dialing in the height along with installing the camber arms. I plan on matching the camber arms to the stock ones for now, and then maybe doing a few turns to help give some extra clearance until I can get to the alignment shop. I am kinda nervous because I don't know much about alignments, so I just wantto make sure I say the right things and that I tell them the right way to do it so I don't waste my money. I am not going for the whole hellaflush stanceworks wrongfitmentcrew look, but something nice and flush and aggressive, but not over the top and still within spec for performance. Thanks again!!

Mazda has a SERIOUSLY huge range that they consider "in spec" actually.. I have to say it's so far out in range it becomes out of spec really fast (but still is "in" according to Mazda lol)

After dropping my car on BCs, my alignment hasn't really been far off. I adjusted my front toe with a mirror system but it wasn't that far off surprisingly. Not sure what camber is exactly but it isn't much. I'm still completely in spec.

I too need to get a real alignment baddddd though. May do it this weekend.

I know about Neogens 4N Muscle lol. If you're just honest with him then you should be okay. Most shops will tell you to come back after a little while if it's not perfect.

And +1, 'in spec' doesn't really mean squat on Mazda's, especially altered suspension ones.

Hope you guys like! I love the way my car looks again! The stance is perfect now and I'm finally back to scrapeoneverything status . I found out I can also put my cell phone on the ground and have it rest against my side skirt so that's another shot I'm planning to get soon but didn't have my camera tonight when I did the 'low test'. It's rubbing on the outside splash shield on the driver slide very slightly when doing HARD right turns over bumpy surfaces, but i dgaf - fuck splash shields.

^Thanks, I love the new setup. Wouldn't mind dropping the rear a bit more, but I dont want to go in for another alignment lol.
