So...my low beams and fog lights stopped working....help?
So I had this small issue..one of my headlights stopped working. No big deal, just replace it right?
Today I decided to investigate and see if swapping bulbs from left to right would further pin point my problem. The bulb is actually fine and it works.
So then now I think it's an issue with the ballasts. I took my working ballast and put it in the headlight that doesn't work. Theoretically it would work, yes? But it did not fire up. So then I put that working ballast back to it's place and now my other headlight won't fire up...
So I inspect the other ballast and find out there is actually water dripping from inside of it..(wtf). I'm like okay, I guess I need a new ballast and need to seal my headlight better. I put everything back to figure out now my fog lights don't work now. I don't know what the fuck is going on, now both of my headlights don't work and now my fogs. The only way I can see at night is if I use my high beams (which still work, along with the corners).
Do you think I possibly messed my working ballast up when I tried to swap it with the ballast that had water in it? I don't even know how to go about this problem. My friend says I may have blown some fuses and he will take a look at it later. I guess I need a whole new HID kit (it's the original kit from the factory...could I just buy an aftermarket d2s kit?) and replace some fuses...?? Any input guys?

i would just go and buy a pack of fuses and go from there since that is the cheapest thing, instead of buying new HIDs.

I too had the same problem a couple months ago. For some reason one of my ballasts stopped working so my dad and I tried swapping them to see if it was burnt out. Then pretty much everything stopped working. All I had done was blow a fuse. Check the fuses under your passenger dash. I then later took it to my friends house and he did some voodoo magic and put the ballast that I thought was burnt out back in and it worked. Still confused lolol but everything works perfect now!

Yeah I figured it out. I replaced the fuse and now my drivers side is back on. My passenger side ballast is dead for sure with all that water that was in there. Guess I just need a new ballast.
