I'M NEW BTW first post. yay. ;D

tires: 215/35 falken somethingsomethingcheapshit make a lot of road noise
BC coilovesr fully dropped. no adjusters moved YET.

front lip. not that gv jazz though. not that i don’t like it, and not that it’s done, someone just pointed out that at some angles it looks like a distended abdomen. ;p i’m probably going with dg, something kinda subtle i think... lighting, you know, to compete with disneyland fireworks, and a dual tip exhaust yeeyeeyee. and a custom license plate that’s wassup.

a matte clear coat wouldn’t hurt either.... all in due time :]

nice. you should try one of those ebay subie lips people are using. kind of like the dg but polyurathane so wont crack.

    thanks for the tip!
yeah, i was leaving the vip modular driveway today and i was scapin' already so i was like "ahh, this'll take some getting use to"
but fa'sho will keep that in mind.

btw, your setup is killer too. i was peepin' super advans before this set and you pull them off nicely. (i suppose this comment would have more use in your thread, olol oops)

srs ;_; i guess it’s supposed to have more performance value over aesthetics, but still... still a lot of pretty splitters out there, why can’t there be one for us?

anyways, i plan to remove perches in two weeks time. by then i should be lower all around. maybe space out a bit, we’ll see. more pics in later today.

oh, i don't think i posted these on here. taken from a canon a-1.

i just realized they're the exact same angles. my default angles i guess. gettin a nikon dslr tomorrow. one thing i don't like about analog is the time from taking the photo and knowing the settings to time of development. i suppose when i get the dslr it'll be easier in terms of settings. i was using a 100 iso film so it got a bit tricky and the photo itself looks under exposed. the ones that look like that are a really light sepia with some crazy light leak. but i'm not in town and my car is just sitting there..so i won't get good (quality) photos i'd like.

i dunno..here are some better samples of my photography:

ooooh love the film; what film are you actually working with?

Just so much depth to film you can't get from a dslr.

oldmajor, thanks, man! yeah. the VIP team is amazing. PURCHASE A SET.

Nuse, it's 100 iso LOMO film. you can get it at urban outfitters. It works brilliant with my Canon A-1. Seriously. I mean, a lot of my photos don't come out great. But when they come out great, they come out great..if you get my drift. ;D

I've been working with a DSLR recently and the results are okay. Not the same warmth I feel from my old Canon. Kind of a shame. ;p

    DSLR photos... Nikon 5100

lol peep the sig. i agree with that sentiment.

DON'T FRET, MA'BRUTHA. it'll all come together next weekend. quite far from now, actually.

it's weird. you wait a year and half for stance (money and whatever speedbumps happened not a pun) and when it all comes to play you're missing a single element. almost disheartening, ahaha

my girl, my louis, my car. yummmmmm

I'd recently been approached to be sponsored and going to SEMA. Apparently, the offer is that we'll meet up, see what I want done to my car, talk out a budget, and see what we can pull together. Since we haven't met, I'm not really sure as to how much the budget will be, but of course I'd love to do a full wire tuck and a front mount for the engine components. The engine compartment seriously is bastardly ugly on our cars, I apologize. Especially once the top mount is removed, it's hideous. I've seen people paint what they can but results look so choppy. Hopefully we can get something accomplished in terms of milestones.

I'd name other plans, but if this sponsorship doesn't pull through because of my schooling it'll just look silly.

To many wires and sensors; the best wire tuck I have seen to this date is Cain's sedan.

But there is so many mods to it.. nothing is really left LOL!

oh god. if i could get our bay as meticulously clean as this i'd be set for life. i don't need a bt build or front mount i'll just run a clear fiberglass hood. IDGAF that's beauty. that's miranda kerr in an engine bay.

lol yeah gl with that. if you could do that i would buy the guy a plane ticket out here and have him/them do it to mine too!

Dude, I pop the hood and just imagine what it would look like. Then I soil my pants. Then I change my pants and realize it's possibly impossible. All you see is wires and just...SHIT everywhere. I suppose if I did want it done it'd take a lot of time...and proportionally a lot of money. Man, you're right. I'll just cop an mk put Ferarri seats, Rotiform SJCs, shave the bay, run no hood and call it a day.

Austin, your car is sitting mighty pretty. My girl loves that color. And I do too. Not that my opinion is shaped by hers.

    Wanna hear some WACK shit?

Okay. Okay. Not once, since I started dating my girlfriend (almost a year ago) has not rained one to three days after washing my car. NOT ONCE. IT HAPPENS EVERYTIME. It's like God is toying with me. It never fails. It first started out as a joke between me and her because we thought it was coincidence, but..then we started realizing it happens every time. Just last week I washed my car, and over my girlfriend's house it rained for FIVE minutes. And moved on. Stopped raining. Seriously? This is an urgent matter.

So, if you're ever in the Orange County area, and it happens to rain, chances are I just washed my car.

This is not at all a joke.

Yeah it will be impossible to clean up the engine bay really.

That mk1 has an ITB setup; you can if you want to switch over to a volvo or VW or some other analog pedal; and then spend $1k on an ITB setup to clean up that; but then the ITBs are right against the radiator so it still looks weird. You can hide the coolant thing with a plate overtop or something like the Focus SVTs.

To start I want to rip out my damn windshield wiper cleaner, but it's got a damn sensor in that too! wtf! I'm thinking of getting like a bulb container (those like tall shot glass things of plastic) and putting liquid in it and holding it on to something. That will save some weight and clean up some rubber lines.

If you're serious about it, you can probably run the coolant container to inside a fender well or something, but have fun pouring liquid into it, and make some custom piping to be able to do that.
For starters you can pull that blowback line that goes from the rear driver's side on the valve cover to your intake. Plug intake hole and run a mini filter on backside of valve cover. That is just emissions stuff; it can have some vacuum but not much; really it's meant to run oil back through your TB to burn it off.

You could get some custom coil packs for your spark plugs; or modify the OEM ones so you can run them inline moreso and drop the lines down into the displaced valve cover (say backside of packs?) that will clean up a rather large appearing mess of wires.

The main problem with our cars as opposed to those older VWs and civics is... while they can actually get rid of wires.. our cars REQUIRE those wires. Without sensors the cars won't run. Those guys with the vws and civics would rather pull off ABS, power steering, A/C etc. to have a cleaner engine bay than anything else.
