toe arms = waste of money, can adjust toe from rear control arm with the oblong bolt

lol the last set a pictures I took was before the alignment I think, so its at 1.8 toe lol
and havent taken recent pics due to my tires were all messed up from the toe, but finally going to get the alignment and new tires installed today <3.<3
My car was in a limp mode (in my eyes) for a while now, but its coming back up now, not new wheels, but a few other goodies that I've had for a while are finally getting put on, and I've just been fixing all the little things,
racing seatI hate you. I'm gonna say fuck the miata for now and just save up for interior shit. seat(s), harness bar, harness, wheel and such
manifold yeah? or did you install that already? next guess is a valve cover. haha
nice I should be getting an alignment and have a surprise for you guys soon, hopefully this week soon![]()
been a minute since I've seen your progress! well done sir

i'll be making a build thread shortly! gotta get it started off right.
whats next for your Mz3?
my car: Shrek Jizzus Christ
all this is missing is a polished valve cover, painted black plastic parts and just needs to be cleaner
like this just with the polished mani and valve cover
lol just realized that was a focus but you get the point. and this is clean too

hell yeah, what seats did you get? i still have my Sparco R100's that i might throw in the 2, but i need the rails and sliders to sell first.

you should find a metal valve cover that works with the mzr. for the most part the focus valve cover looks the same.
I know one guy on mazda3forums was selling them, I think they're from the Mazda6, but they were selling for like $100, so not really happening anytime soon, I have other priorities, but if painting it looks bad then yes that's in the future
and unzipher, I believe they're old Sparco Speed's, but the guy I bought them from didn't know much about them lol
yeah i probably wouldnt spend $100 on a new valve cover unless my main priority of the car right now is the bay
Man, but our engine bays are pretty ugly to begin with. I dont think I'll be spending any money trying to fix it up ;_;
And, Austin, your car is low as fuck with an ass load of camber. I applaud you ;_;. I wanna be as low as you right now, but tucking 17s is loco, hombre.
yeah true. that's why I strayed away from polished mani and valve cover and just keeping my hood down for shows hahaha
lmfao a buddy of mine tucks bays so when I do get around to it we're tucking as much as possible
and thanks wonderment, only reason I'm so close to tucking 17s is due to me running a 45 profile tire in the back, if I was 40 like I am in the front it'd be stupid dumped lol, well my definition of stupid dumped, since I'm sure I'm at most people's already LOL
Cain used to take the valve covers from 6's, modify them, drill them, and could polish them but he went through a rough time a few months ago, was nice to see him at Epic5, I wanted to buy his polished cover from him but haven't heard from him in a bit, and valve covers are hard to come across.
I know just where to look though as I saw about 50+ valve covers for every Mazda made last night again haha.. <3 Mazmart.
Our engines can be tucked really well, it's just only Cain has really tried.
All it takes is a full rewire, people are just afraid of electric issues and not being able to spot the problem if there is one.
My wire tuck isn't amazing, I just did it to show what can be achieved with OEM wires. It's nothing amazing, but it isn't ugly either.
Yes we have a lot of sensors, but we also have a lot of super thick wires with super thick plastic shielding on them which can be slimmed A LOT if you cut and rewire.
I mean I could spend more time on it obviously too; that was just 3 hours work before the Epic meet last year.. Just one random night when I was bored and felt like trying.
Sorry, man, but that's still ugly. All the wires makes everything look really cluttered. Cluttered not being a synonym of ugly, only adding to the factor.
Engine bays, much like stance, is one of those things (to me) in which you either need to go big or go home. Anything in between looks like ass because you'll either have too much poke or too much clutter. Which is almost similar to the Sorites Paradox. At what disambiguation makes a pile? When reducing a pile of anything one by one, at what point does it become not-a-pile? At what point does the removal of clutter equate to an attractive engine tuck? Or is it all or nothing or is there a point in the middle?
The whole premise of a tuck is to turn the engine bay into a work of art, something inspiring to look at. And right now, with no offense, your engine bay looks like the crayon drawing of a five year old compared to Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel.
Sorry that's kind of a rant, I'm just huge on aesthetics and design.
I never said it looked amazing; I'm just saying that is ALL you can do with the OEM wires.
If you really want to spend the $1000 to have your engine reweired to where you can't get to anything in an emergency then yeah.
But then again our engine will never be a looker.
The timing belt is inside the housing, we have electric fan.. electric everything else.
You can easily spend I think ~$2-300 to have the battery and ECU moved to the back of the car, and that cleans up the bay a TON.
+ added performance
Anyways, the point being... when you take my engine bay and put it up to a stock one.. you can tell it is FAR cleaner looking.
If you take the intake manifold off you can clean up that whole front end; but I couldn't fit my fingers back there well enough to pull and tug on wires, nor was I cutting any wires so I couldn't run solid wires through it, but that will also clean it up a lot.
I will tell you; the ONE thing that makes our engine bay the ugliest.. the wire holders. The plastic sheath that all the wires are in; that like .. weird ribbed crap; if you remove that and put in a clean flexing sheath it will look a million times better to begin with.
But there are also quite a few other things you can't move in our engine bay really such as the lines that run past the battery box such as the fuel line.. kinda important, blowbacks, vacuum lines.
Our engine isn't a simple engine like those old VWs are.
I mean you can try and hide a lot of things in our car, but it will NEVER be good looking, you'll spend a lot of money doing it, you'll be without a car while it's happening, you may run into wiring troubles, even if it does get done and is semi better looking.. you better have access to everything you did before.
I never said my engine bay is the cleanest or best; Cain's engine bay is the cleanest.
that's just the cleanest engine bay I've seen in a 3. In person it is very pretty. Is it douchebag VAG clean? No. But it is very clean, and has access to everything he needs to have access to.
Show me an engine bay from any car made in the past 20 years with an engine bay as clean as that old VW. You can't do it anymore; it's physically impossible.
That VW engine is a carbureted engine with a few physical sensors.
Our engines are fuel injected with I think somewhere in the range of 300 electronic sensors.
Big difference.
To support Nuse, he's trying to say that's the most you can do for free, all he did was take the wires out of those ugly ass hoses, and tuck the one's he could, that's by no means a full shave like the one's you're posting. It's completely possible to tuck and shave our bays if you have enough time and money, just keep in mind most of us daily our cars, I know I don't have any other means of transportation.. so the jump into doing something like that is hard for a lot of us, especially since it hasn't been done on our car's, so it's not some easy DIY bs
TC doesn't look bad but you also don't see a lot. Same with that Golf.
Exhaust manifold up front; intake out back. Also I bet the underside of that golf's cover is covered with wires.
But yeah... Flip our engine 180 degrees to headers forward and it already looks 100000x cleaner.
No, yeah, I know. I’m not trying to insult or start any form of argument, just trying to reinforce that unless you do spend all that time and money to fix up your engine bay, chances are it’ll just look incomplete. Sorry if my contentions come off a little aggressive, I don’t at all mean to. ;_; I just have a passion for anything beautiful!!!!!!!
And Nuse, I agree that the engine bay you posted is clean. Especially for a 3. I’m just the kind of guy that’s go big or go home with everything.
Imma send you an fb friend request. 8)
